Friday Night Lights X

The Hudson High School Explorers pulled an unexpected upset of the previously unbeaten North Royalton Bears last Friday night to secure a place in the Ohio State High School Football Bracket. In a cold driving persistent rain, the Explorers controlled every aspect of the game in route to a 19-7 win. Hudson, now 8-2, travels to North Canton on Saturday night to face the GlenOak Golden Eagles. Good luck to all the players and staff as the playoffs begin.

Since football will be played on Saturday night this weekend, that means it is time for the annual Indoor Band Show tonight in the auditorium at Hudson High School. The 240 strong members of the Hudson High School Swing Marching Band will put on an outstanding show playing music from the season plus a few extra surprises. There is an admission charge this year to the show and for a very good reason. The Band is in desperate need of new instruments, so every dollar raised tonight will go to purchase new mellophones, tubas and the like. Great door prizes are going to be given away that include two reserved seats in the new Memorial Stadium for the 2013 season; gift certificates to great local restaurants; a basket of goodies featuring some of the latest HHS band wear; and an award winning "Chili" dinner prepared by the Staff of the Swing Band in your home for up to 12 people. The concert begins at 7:00 pm. A precurtain video celebrating the year will be shown, so come early to get a good seat. Tickets are $5 for adults which includes tickets for the raffle; $2 for Middle School students; little ones get in free. "Loud is Good"
