The Sunday Musical Offering - Gustav Holst: The Planets - Mars, the Bringer of War

Thanks to my friends on Facebook, and in honor of the Olympics, Gustav Holst won the "Gold Medal" in a head-to-head competition against Benjamin Britten who took the "Silver" and William Mathais finished a distant third for the "Bronze".

Gustav Holst?..... this one is too easy. A fitting and appropriate selection with all that has happened in the last week. We will keep it all English as Sir Charles Mackerras conducts the BBC Philharmonic orchestra for the first part of The Planets - Mars, the Bringer of War. Enjoy.
